An easy system to set up and use, the Airtec 8 features 20 x 8”/20cm cells, including 4 static head cells. Each cell features a separate lower compartment within the cell to prevent the user bottoming out, meaning no mattress or underlay is required.
- A “whisper quiet” digital pump, featuring simple to use adjustments for weight, mode and cycle times, ensure the pump is extremely user friendly.
- The pump not only offers alternating pressure redistribution but it also has a static mode with “constant low-pressure reduction”.
- When in alternating mode, the pressure is periodically redistributed by inflating and deflating cells (a 1 in 2 alternation) in order to mimic natural sleep movement patterns which assist in avoiding long-term pressurisation of skin and tissue.
- In constant static mode, the pressure is two-thirds lower when compared to the same pressure level from alternating mode by the means of immersion and envelopment, providing users with a constant low-pressure option.

- The complete all-around zipper, helps reduce the ingress of unwanted fluids and the cover can be completely removed for easy cleaning.

- The system has an integrated CPR, Static/Nursing mode, and Pillow Function.
- An anti-slip elasticated strap keeps the mattress in place and prevents movement.
- The easy-to-use connector allows the user to connect the pump to the mattress quickly and easily.
- An air hose Transport Cap seals the air in the mattress to prevent the mattress going down when being transported or transferred, or can keep the mattress inflated in the case of a power outage.
- Audio and Visual Alarm Functions signal Low Pressure or Power Failure faults.
- Control Panel Lock Out function to prevent accidental changes in patient settings
